Palette Month: The End
Today I finish with my first “project-a-day” theme: Palettes, so I wanted to make today’s post a sort of introspection, as well as share some of my favorite moments
I can tell you, making a palette in ColourLovers is really fun and easy, and I am super glad that I chose it instead of doing it on Photoshop and uploading the image. Besides the basic palette creator, there are also two other more complex creators: COPASO and PHOTOCOPA. Both of them I discovered recently, but with them I’ve created some of my favorite palettes.
Here are some of my favorite creations:
I not only created though, I also saw a lot of incredible palettes that inspired me to create better combinations. Here are some of my favorites!
And the rest of my favorites you can find here.
However, I think the most important thing I got from this project, besides the knowledge of the CL website and new ideas for my website palette, is that I met pseudonympho, AKA Lauren. She’s the awesome designer behind some really fun fonts like Caviar Dreams and LT Oksana (my favorite!)
She also has a very well designed blog, sort of a mix between stylish swirls and grunge. Needless to say, I love her stuff! It was such a happy coinkidink that we met in CL. Check out her palette gallery, it has some really great color combos!
Starting tomorrow until the end of February, the daily project will be designs. This means that I take 20 or 30 minutes to create something new a day. I can also follow tutorials and try out new techniques… and, of course, I will keep documenting it in this blog every day!
I hope you enjoyed the palettes!
